My photography journey began with a love for creativity. I poured my heart into planning extravagant birthday parties for my kids – my creative outlet. Naturally, I wanted to capture every detail, so I invested in my first “nice” camera, a Canon Rebel. To my surprise, it didn’t magically produce professional photos. Determined to master it, I took a photography class, and the rest is history. I fell in love with photography and haven’t looked back.

I am a storyteller...

My husband and I were married in 2002! We have 3 unique and beautiful kids. Our oldest is headed to college this fall to play basketball. My middle son has Dandy Walker Syndrome. He has taught me the beauty of connection and inspired me to focus on capturing moments of interaction in my photography. Our youngest is in middles school. We adopted him from Uganda when he was 2 years old. He is an old soul.

Life is busy, full, and absolutely worth documenting.

MY FAMILY

In my free time, I love to travel. Canon Beach is one of my favorite spots, and I dream of photographing a family there one day. I also enjoy taking pictures of my own kids – funny how turning a passion into a business can make you neglect the very thing that got you started. Capturing those everyday moments with my family keeps my heart grounded and reminds me why I love what I do.

In my free time I love..

I fully embrace Christmas all year long—yes, even in July! You’ll catch me listening to holiday music whenever the mood strikes, and my decorations? They go up earlier every year (right after Halloween is fair game, right?). While I may hate being cold, I love watching the snow fall—preferably with a cup of coffee or white hot chocolate in hand. If you ever need a Christmas movie recommendation or an excuse to start decorating early, I’m your person!
