First Birthday Session – A Fun Milk Bath Experience

Luca’s first birthday session was full of personality, fun, and a little bit of messy magic! We started with some sweet family portraits before focusing on just Luca—capturing all of his adorable expressions and playful energy. To make the session even more fun, I provided wooden toys for him to explore. I love including simple, timeless props like these because they help little ones stay engaged without taking away from the images.

One of the most unique parts of Luca’s first birthday session was his cake smash. His mom had a special vision—she wanted black-and-white images of him from newborn to now, so I created a custom backdrop just for his session! This option is available for any cake smash session booked with me, giving families a personal touch to their little one’s big milestone. I love when Luca spotted himself on the backdrop behind him. He started pointing a “Baby Luca” and was full of big grins!

Luca’s outfits were carefully selected for his session, with all of them provided by me except for one—the sweetest black monogrammed outfit his mom brought, which you can find here. I love helping parents style their little ones for their session, making the process easy and stress-free! You can see a lot of the clothing I provide on my instagram page. We wrapped up the session with a fun milk bath, and my absolute favorite image is of Luca with his mouth wide open and tongue out, trying to drink the milk as it splashed in his face. It was the perfect, playful ending to an already unforgettable session!
