I was so excited to plan this newborn photography session with dog for sweet baby Luca! His parents requested Christmas-themed images in their pre-session questionnaire, and I couldn’t have been happier—I’d do Christmas sets all year long if requested! This session was extra special, featuring a mix of festive setups, heartwarming family portraits, and even a few adorable shots with their well-behaved pup.

A Stress-Free, Full-Service Newborn Session

Luca’s session was part of my largest Newborn Collection, which had 50-80 beautifully edited digital images. Family portraits, parent and baby shots, and even sibling or pet images are always included. I provide everything needed, from props and wraps to mom’s dress—just show up, and I’ll take care of the rest!

Baby and Dog Portraits: A Special Note on Safety

One of the most heartwarming images from this session was of baby Luca and the family dog. Anytime you are photographing a newborn photography session with a dog, you must take appropriate safety measures. It’s important to note that this image was created through Photoshop for safety. Throughout this image, Dad’s hands were on baby at all times, while Mom kept a gentle hold on the pup’s paws. Baby safety is always my top priority, and I take every precaution to ensure a secure environment.

Alongside traditional newborn portraits, I love capturing close-up detail shots—tiny fingers, curled-up toes, delicate lips, and wisps of hair. These images highlight the sweet, fleeting details that change so quickly in the first few weeks.
